Day 2 of Camp (children's view)

On day two we drove to the museum and we waited for Mr Broadhurst to bring the bus so we could go to the Martha Mine. What I liked the most was the dump trucks and the great big hole in Waihi. I was only a quarter of a wheel, Mrs Bateman took a photo of us all. After that we went on the heritage trail. What I liked about the heritage trail was counting all the art pictures. By Liam

Day Two: We woke up and had breakfast. We set off to the museum but we were not going thre we were just waiting for the bus. Finally the bus was here, Mr Broadhurst got the best bus he could find. Then we went to the Martha Mine in the bus. We saw a man and he took us to the mine. When we got there is was huge! There were heaps of trucks. By Freddie

In the morning we went to have breakfast in the dining room. After that we got ready to go to the museum. At last we were ready. I got chosen to go to the Martha Mine first. When we got there we walked up to the lookout so we could look out to the giant hole. There were lots of trucks with rocks in them. We drove up to see where the rocks were made into gold. The man showed us gold and the balls that crushed the rocks into sand. Then we drove back down to swap over. We went to the museum. First we went into see a movie. After that we went in to see how they chopped off thier thumbs in the old days at the mine. By Maiya
